Since the beginning of time, humans depend on animals for many things including food, clothe and even medicine. Thanks to these furry creatures we have been able to progress and improve our way of living. Still, now days we use animals in many different ways, and one of them is to find cures and treatments for illnesses. Thanks to technology and knowledge obtained through the years, humans are no longer in need of this, but many people lack the awareness to realize this. Thanks to an article form Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine we can understand that animal testing has been able to achieve great things like development of blood transfusions and the identification of insulin. But when you compare the list of accomplishments that animal testing provides to the medical field to the list of non-animal testing experiments, the list falls far too short. Non-animal methods now occupy closely to a 90% of the effective research done in order to make life better.
