There are numerous amounts of zoos worldwide, and there are plenty of people who visit zoos. In America, there are around 751,931 animals in zoos. A significant amount of people don’t agree with animals in zoos, but 175 million people still visit them every year. Zoos should stay because people make emotional connections with animals at zoos and they can learn there. Some people make emotional connections with the animals at zoos. As stated by the Saint Louis Zoo says, “People make an emotional connection with animals at zoos that can last a lifetime…when people experience the wonderment of animals, they are spurred on to learn more and act differently”. Keeping zoos should be a priority so that people can make emotional connections with them, consequently they make those connections because they could see how the zoo brought the animals in and how they are helping the injured ones. People could raise money to support animals that need special care. If we keep introducing animals to people we could raise more money to help animals that are hurt or in need of help. …show more content…

According to Saint Louis Zoo, people learn at zoos such as in “formal classes, lectures, camps, teacher workshops, distance learning, zoos tours, overnights and outreach programs”. Zoos are not only a place to look at animals and make connections with them, in contrast they help people learn about animals and their habitats. If people learned about animals and their habitats they could help them out by raising money for better habitats and they have a more understanding of why zoos exist.
