Personal trainers instruct, motivate, and lead individuals or group activities, such as cardiovascular exercises, strength training, and stretching. They help clients reach their fitness and health goals by educating and motivating them. Personal trainers understand how to target specific muscle groups or know which exercise can help a client achieve the results they want. Their goal is to help the clients maintain a healthy lifestyle. They teach how engaging in exercise creates healthy living. They will teach their clients about the body and what it is capable of. A trainer must be eighteen years of age and have a high school diploma. A numerous amount of employers require personal trainers to have an associate's or bachelor’s degree. These degrees may be related to physical education, kinesiology, or exercise sciences. Personal trainers must be certified before they begin working with clients or members of a gym (Fitness). Many personal trainers become certified for a specific type of training. Therefore, they should choose which type of training they want to pursue before working with clients. After becoming certified it is prefered for new trainers to work alongside an experienced personal trainer to observe how to properly train clients. This can show an upcoming personal trainer training techniques and the different varieties of how to train a client. A trainer must be physically fit due to the fact there job requires a considerable amount of exercise. Also trainers often demonstrate exercises to their clients. They should be able to demonstrate the exercises in a precise and safe way. Personal trainers in the United States have earnings that come in at around $18.66 per hour. Personal trainers who work independently are more likely to have a high end range. They have the potential of earning between $35.00 to $65.00 per hour. The salaries may also be based off of education level, experience, specialization, certification, and location. Training professionals who have numerous certifications and titles earn even more than those with limited personal fitness experience. However, compensation is $9.87 per hour on the lower end and $48.59 on the higher end. Working in a fitness facility is not required as a personal trainer. Therefore, many personal trainers are self employed. Having your own personal training business allows you to earn one hundred percent of the money and determine your own fees.
