Personal Speech: Daddy's Little Princess

From the moment I entered this world, I was immediately given the title, "Daddy 's Little Princess." On Sunday afternoons, our “family day”, we’d often go to the mall, just to satisfy Mom’s shopping urges. After about three boring stores, my dad and I would sneak out of a clothing store and he’d take me to one of the coolest stores in the mall. Fluffy balls would run around inside a glass box while I struggled to reach over, being only 6. Daddy would pick me up, hover me over the opening and I’d reach in and feel the puppies’ soft brown and white fur moving underneath my fingertips. “One day.” he said, winking. Escaped from the dreadful stores and secured into my king’s arms, I was happiest that I’ve ever been.
With this in mind, my father was the greatest man I’ve ever known. My mother would be considered the luckiest woman on the planet. SENTENCE The loss of my father encouraged me to cherish every moment I have with loved ones; never take them for granted.
He is the reason I am who I am today.
His care and commitment truly showed me his devotion to the family. Since my mother worked during the day, my father took on the typical housewife role. Cleaning, cooking, and ironing was part of his daily routine, on top of taking care of me. …show more content…

My father was an incredible man and he was beyond compare. He taught me to treasure every second with my family and never take them for granted. I look up to him and will continue to carry on his ___ legacy. Although he is not here, I look up to him as my guide in making my decisions. His absence forced me to understand that time together with loved ones should never be wasted. I strive to be independent and strong, as my mother, and persistent and caring as my father.
