Personal Narrative: The Santa Fe Volleyball Tournament

Attending the Santa Fe volleyball tournament, with the varsity team, the tournament would last three days straight. Means we would miss school, but coach would tell everyone to go there classes to get their assignments before, we leave to Santa Fe. As I found out one of the days during the tournament, I would miss my niece's 2nd birthday party. First, after school during volleyball practice, our coach blow his whistle and all the players run while, shagging the volleyball's and putting them into the basket, heading towards the coach. Then, once everyone is there, all the volleyball was in the baskets, coach would throw a volleyball. Then everyone ran to get that one volleyball and sprinting back to where coach was. Coach does this to show leadership from the group and everyone would run to get the ball and retrieve back to the coach. Once that is finished, coach told the varsity team we would be leaving early heading to Santa Fe, and will be staying for three days there …show more content…

In order, to play the sport I love, but my sport wouldn't always last forever. My family seems more important than I realized it to be. I would focus on my studies rather than my family which, I understand that family would always be my side, but then, one day I would regret it. What I learned from this experience, is my family is more important then, a sport. That I shouldn’t put a sport ahead of my family because my family will always better their but, one day my relatives might die and my family would have memories of the event they spend together that day. While, I don’t have a memory of them that day since, I choose to play volleyball. Now, I’m focused on college, studying and staying on track of my work, I get them done ahead of time to spend more of my free time with my beloved family and finally cherishing more memories with my
