Personal Narrative: My Trip To Florida

Last year, I got the amazing chance to travel to Florida with my sister. While it wasn’t the first time we’ve gone to Florida, because a lot of our family lives there, I had never gone there without my parents before, so it was a whole new, scary experience! We made so many memories while there, and I’ll always remember it for that. I had set one goal for this trip, though: to watch the 4th of July fireworks from the ocean. Even though I set a goal for this trip, I couldn’t achieve it until the 4th of July, which was at the very end of the trip. I had 2 weeks to kill in the meantime, and I had no intention of wasting them! We met a few other family members there, and we all spent most of the day there, catching up and gathering seashells. Despite the sunscreen I wore, I still managed to get sunburned. The next day, I was extremely sore, but that wasn’t going to stop me! My sister and I went to our Aunt’s house, and she took us to the downtown area of St. Petersburg, where we had cheeseburgers for lunch and then went to a bookstore, which was definitely ideal for me. We spent a few hours in the bookstore, and pet the cat they had. After that, we went back to her house, where she took us on a boat ride from her dock. We all had a ton of fun, and it was such a great experience to ride a speedboat! We spent the next few days alternating between the beach and the houses of our family to visit everyone before we left. We only had a few more days left to be there! I was a little sad about that, so my Aunt offered to take us on another boat ride before we left. Unfortunately, when we tried to take the boat out, the tide was low, so we got stuck in the sand! We all had to get out of the boat and push it out back into the water, at which point none of us were willing to risk going any further and having it happen again, so we turned around.
