I have a passion for hunting. It takes my mind off everything, so I can just enjoy the outdoors. It is one of my favorite things to do with my off time. I usually go hunting with my brother, uncle, and some of my cousins. We usually go duck, goose, and pheasant hunting. We sometimes go deer hunting, but we did not last year and I do not know if we will this year. I will tell you how to load a gun safely and properly. I will also tell the different ways you can load it. It is one of the most important things to do in hunting.

Then after the 2 or 3 shells are put in the bottom of the gun, then you are ready to go hunting. When it is time to go hunting, make sure that the gun is still on safety and that it is pointing toward the sky or toward the ground. Then it is time for the second shell to be put in. He or she have had to make sure the second shell clicks once again, otherwise the gun may jam.
Now he or she should have three shells in the gun. He or she should carry ammo around with them while they are hunting because it is common sense. Ways to carry around ammo are, having an ammo bag around waist, put in vest when pheasant hunting, or just carry the ammo box around. He or she needs to be very careful when hunting with others so that they do not point the gun at any people on accident.

My finger wrapped around the trigger as my eye focused through the scope of my grandfather’s Springfield ’03. I took a deep breath and let half out. This interaction provides a deep spiritual connection with the land, the wildlife, and our planet. Hunting has been around since the beginning of time and has been in many people 's lives for generations, these are some reasons why people all across America continue to hunt. Hunting has many benefits such as reducing deer related car accidents, controlling deer densities in heavily human populated areas, creates jobs, and feeding and supporting families. Thus, deer hunting is necessary for several reasons.
The first guns used in America were a simple machine where the person did most of the work. The user measured and put the powder down the barrel of the gun. Next some shotgun pellets were put in the same way. This was then all compacted and the gun was ready to fire. This reloading took over a minute before each shot could be fired and the guns weren't very accurate by today's standards. If too much powder was used then the gun could explode or if the powder were wet then the gun wouldn't fire. One of inventions during the Revolutionary War was a way to reload faster. The powder was already pre-measured and kept in little sacks. This made reloading faster because the user no longer had to measure the powder between each reloading. These guns were crude but in that day was a powerful modern invention that was considered very useful. The American Revolution was a political war to obtain what the people of that era wanted. By today's standards the destruction of gun was minimal so war was used to obtain political objectives.
Once upon a time, in a cabin far away, it was Halloween night October 31st 1973. A group of friends decided to go to a cabin in the woods to celebrate their favorite holiday together. Busses packed full of people were going to the party that me and Skyler had planned. We invited almost the whole school. Finally after hours of searching for our final destination we arrived. Skyler and I were the first to be at that raggedy torn down cabin. In conclusion hunting is not for everyone, but those who do take pride in it. It takes a lot more than just to walk in the woods and pick a spot. Deer use thousands of runs throughout the woods. Spending weeks searching for the right spot in order to make a kill. It takes hours of sitting in a stand not saying a word or moving a muscle. My life intersects with Into The Wild because I never had a good relationship with my mom or stepfather Dan who was 21 years older than my mother. So I “escaped” to Columbia much like Chris did from his own reality. Dan would drink every day; you would rarely see him without a drink in his hand. His drink of choice would be either whiskey or beer depending on what he could afford. You could always tell when he was smashed and when he was I was the person he wanted to tear down with his words the most. I remember one night after my grandma just had surgery and she was staying with us my mom asked me to cook. I told her I would. I then went outside to check what I was grilling and I knew Dan was out there intoxicated.
I have always had a passion for writing however, I do struggle with it. My weaknesses and strengths are what make my writing style so unique. I struggle with directly writing down my thoughts and feelings. It takes me awhile to develop a good writing flow. Especially if I am not given specific guidelines for the paper. I also have problems with my word choice. Of course, I want my paper to consist of intelligent vocabulary; but I often use words that just do not make sense in the context. Despite my weaknesses I have very many strengths that somewhat balance out my flaws. I have such a creative mind when it comes to writing because I perceive situations in so many different ways. In times, we often see things, but we don't really capture what is beyond it. In some cases, there are people who are artistic and are prone to see what other's cannot visualize. Every individual has a talent which can be expressed and processed differently. Something you see can mean entirely divergent things to someone else;for example, some may see thing's that may seem simple, but in the eyes of an artist, it can be perceived with a whole new definition, dimension, and a potentially new discovery. As a photographer, my view of the world, can be skewed towards looking at everyday objects as potential art, but it wasn't always like that.
When at a hunting store to purchase a hunting shotgun this past summer, there was a gentleman standing right next to the handgun case looking at a semi-automatic pistol. The man asked to look at a certain handgun and then proceeded to pick up the handgun and looked down the sight. This was dangerous because it was directed at the sales associate’s upper torso. Then the man decided to turn and look down the aisle, pointing the gun towards a group of people. It was obvious that because of his actions. The gentleman was not ready to be purchase and handle a firearm. He was escorted out of the store and was questioned about the intent behind his actions. This is one of many common problems with a significant number of people that have not been trained in gun safety or who are not mature enough; their actions show that they are not ready to be handling a gun.
