I was sitting on the grass at Kemper Elementary School with four of my closest friends we were waiting patiently lock n’ loaded with water guns sitting at our sides waiting for the teachers to get outside and all of the other student's. When the rest of the teacher’s and student's got outside the student's grabbed their water guns and went to the other side of my friends and I. It was field day. We blasted each other with our loaded green and blue water guns and were running and screaming as loud as possible around the school yard. A few hours later the buses came to take all of us I got on the bright yellow and short elementary kids home. I got on the school bus and sat next to my best friend Marissa. Both of us had to move to the front because we were jumping and climbing on the seats. The bus came to a stop and put its “Stop” sign out. Half of the bus got off at that stop, which was only about 10 minutes away from mine. Marissa got off and right before she took her last step on the ground only a few inches away. …show more content…
She took her last steps off. The bus then started to squeak as it was pulling off. Ten minutes later the bus stopped at the brown apartments which where my mom and I were living. I ran to apartment 37 on the second floor. As I was running, I saw that my mom wasn't home from work yet. So I decided to call her to see when she was coming home. I picked up the phone and dialed her number. It then rang. You could hear the ring, It was a soft ringing, it then stopped. “Hello” my mom
Starting Middle School changed how I felt about school in general as I wasn’t babied anymore.
I walked up the long, stone stairs of Hidden Oaks Middle School. Middle school students were walking up the stairs alongside me and talking with each other. I joined this math club because I wanted to fit in and make new friends. We opened the doors and walked through the long hall filled with posters and works of students. We walked into Mrs. Janasky’s room. I sat down next to my sister and talked with her. The teacher handed us a piece of paper covered in math problems.
My middle school years were incredible. I went to three different schools during my middle school years. I attended McIntyre Middle School, Millbrook Middle School, and Brewbaker Middle School. All three of these schools were amazing and I did great things at each school. I would love to relive my middle school years. I believe middle school could make or break a child. Many children had problems in middle school but me on the other hand went through middle school with a breeze. I never had a problem with any class or subject in middle school. Many of the students adored me at each school I attended. It was never a problem for me to make new friends. If I could go back to middle school I would.
A bead of sweat trickled across my neck like an ice-cold drop of rain running down a windowpane. I stood anxiously, juxtaposed to ten of my fifth grade classmates on a dusty six-inch high platform, each of us in our lint-free suits, as I stared forward to meet the unforgiving eyes of the students and teachers of Main Dunstable Elementary School. A steady stream of parents entered the gymnasium, and I heard chatter as parents and kids conversed noisily with each other. I felt my throat tighten and wished for the emcee, Mrs. Paradis, the principal of our school, to take up the microphone and begin the ceremony.
When I finally found my words I asked what was going on and my mother told me that my sister was in a car accident. When we arrived at the scene all I could see was my sister’s car sideways in the middle of the road with the entire front of it smashed up towards the windshield. As I looked around I saw my sister, emerging from a tan SUV I had never seen before, running towards my parents. The ambulances began to arrive and I was in my sister’s arms when I realized that there was no other damaged car at the
Two years ago I made a choice, a choice I didn't think would change my life that
During fourth and fifth grade, I was among the group of kids that were at the top of the school. All of the younger children looked up to us and copied the actions that they saw us doing. These we the last years for the fun and games for me. My work would later get more difficult since I made the transition from easy work to the more difficult. These were the last years that we had recess after lunch. We would no longer have one teacher teaching us every subject. For all of elementary school I was at Upson which is now known as Shoreview Elementary. I think that every year someone looked out for me because I was always blessed enough to have the good teachers for each particular grade. These teachers always saw potential in me and from a young age they always told me that they knew that I would do great
I was in fifth grade and went to Falcon Ridge Elementary School. I loved elementary school we got to do all the cool projects, my facorite was the chain reaction prodject and I liked to hang out all day with my firends. I liked everything about it. One night I came home and my mom said
One day at Congerville grade school i was just got out of the car and i was a new student and when i was done with all my thing i went on the SeeSaw.
It was the last Saturday in December of 1997. My brother, sister, and I were chasing after each other throughout the house. As we were running, our parents told us to come and sit down in the living room. They had to tell us something. So, we all went down stairs wondering what was going on. Once we all got down stairs, the three of us got onto the couch. Then, my mom said, “ Well…”
It happened on May 5, 2015, my sophomore year of high school. My day happened as usual. I got up, I went to school, and I got off the bus. It was hot that day, my back burned and dampened with sweat, caused by the hot Texas sun. I came in and threw my neon orange backpack down exhausted by the short walk from the bus stop to my back door. After getting inside, I grabbed my dog's leash and hooked it to her collar to drag her outside and walk her. We slowly made our way back inside after she finished taking her time and doing her business. I walked inside and checked the time displayed below the television and walked to the kitchen to fill the black kettle
My fingers were struggling to dial 9-1-1, all I could think about was the intense crying of my mom going on in the background. What was going to happen? After the few ringing tones, an operator answered. I quickly explained that I needed an ambulance immediately. The operator said paramedics would be there in a matter of minutes. Those minutes were the longest minutes of my life. After the phone call my mom asked me to help her get my grandmother out of bed. When I went into my grandma’s room I grabbed one of her arms while my mom grabbed the other, and we pulled with all of our strengths. I was shouting my grandma's name to get a reaction out of her, she just muttered a word and looked up with her soulless eyes. As we struggled to keep her standing the paramedics came through the door. They loaded her up on a stretcher and took her to the Emergency Room. That night I couldn’t sleep thinking of what was happening in the hospital.
It was picture day at Oak Grove East, and the third grade pictures were after lunch. Whoever thought that it would be okay to let third graders go out to recess and then come in for pictures after they’re all sweaty is just a complete idiot, but the pictures were after lunch. During recess, a couple of us enjoyed to play cops and robbers. That certain day, I was a cop. Zach Otten was a robber. I was chasing him to the left of the playground by the basketball hoop. When we were in third grade there was a lot of loose gravel by the basketball hoop closest to the playground.
It was the day of Fourth of July.It was a classic day for me,I didn’t do that much but I went over to my grandmas house. My grandma asked “do you want something to eat?” “yes I’m starving,I could eat a cow right now.”I said. I just started snatched big chunks of food and stacking them on my plate. After I was done eating,I went to go play with my uncle’s daughter, Kayla.Kayla has a brother named Jonathan and my cousin’s name is Mark.We played outside, in a big grassland with lots of sticks, leaves and more.We planned on making a fort.We pretended that we were in the army. Me and Kayla were on a team and Mark and Jonathan were on a team.Me and Kayla started to snatch sticks and leaves
It was Spring of my freshman year of high school, and I was standing in front of my school, laughing and talking with one of my best friends waiting for my Mother to pick me up. I could not wait to see her and tell her how amazing my day had been. The second I saw her white Honda Pilot pull into a parking spot I raced over to see her, but my Mom was not there. Instead it was my Dad in the driver’s seat. I was confused since usually I would have gotten a text or phone call that someone else was picking me up. He obviously saw the confusion on my face and said, “Your mom is at home with your brother Zach.” I did not
