From a young age, I was very curious. Curiosity caused my mind to see everything from a different perspective than most. I saw what could be improved and how I could improve. For example, when it came to editing movies, I was always able to see what could how it could have been better or I questioned how they had created it. My curiosity led me to try many different activities throughout high school, such as film camps, stage managing for plays, yearbook, and even creating videos for Rochester High School’s awards day. Finally, my junior year, I decided it was time I made films of my own for competitions. I wanted to have something that I could call my own. When it came to the two films I did for contests, I was there throughout the whole process. …show more content…
I believe that my curiosity is the key to my creativity, because if you are curious, you then feel the need to understand and push your limits. Although, I was able to step outside my comfort zone, I also felt as though I was being held back with all my
What started out as a hobby transformed into a passion for an art form that allows me to use movements and expressions to tell a story. Whether I’m on stage in front of an audience of just friends and family, hundreds of strangers and a panel of judges, or the whole school, performing over thirty times, has helped me build lifelong
SWISH! I turn my head to the right with a grin and see my mom cheering as I scored my first points of the season. The last game of the season I scored my first points of my middle school basketball “career.” Now sit back and relax as you read the story of how I got my first points in middle school basketball.
On the Monday October 27th, 2014, for the first time in 4 years I did not wake up at 5:30 in the morning, I was not putting on a green skivvy shirt and shorts. There was no formation, no one that was higher command I had to report to, telling me where I had to go, what time I had to eat breakfast, what was I doing this day or what our platoon plans were for the day. There were no PT (physical training) I had to do this morning. Instead, I woke up grab a regular t-shirt, khaki shorts, and my two sea bags full of clothing and gear that I collected during my time in the Marine Corps. I threw everything in my vehicle and drove from Camp Pendleton, California to Quincy, Illinois. Within two weeks I was accepted to Southern Illinois University Carbondale. For three days, I stayed at the
Nothing could be worst than your dad bringing up "THE CONVERSATION." Starting at age 5 I loved playing soccer, running up and down the field, making moves and kicking balls to the back of the net was always the way to go. Soccer meant the world to me and especially playing with my best friends since the day I started. My days would go something like this, go to school, get home,do homework then get ready and go to a beautiful fun day at soccer! After soccer I would go home sit on the couch and eat.I was a lazy one. That's why I hoped my dad would never ever bring up this conversation.... But he did anyways.
My search took about three weeks. I began my research by doing some background reading in the Encarta online encyclopedia. That site provided a definition of the term asthma, information on how the lungs function, the causes of asthma attacks, and the diagnosis and treatment of the disease. Statistics on the number of Americans with the disease were included in the article. Most of the information, including the statistics was supported by the information in the Merck Manual of Medical Information.
Every student dreams of going to college, but once you are enrolled it’s a challenge to achieve the goal of getting the degree. Weather it has been a friend, family member, or even a neighbor they have their ways of handling the conundrum. My friend Kevin, recently graduated this past year, started of in Middlesex for two years, and then he transferred to Rutgers to finish his career. He graduated from Rutgers and now is an accounting major. Kevin is amiable, hardworking, and deft. During his time at Middlesex and Rutgers, he had a job at Apple, went to the gym, participated in many fundraisers, and volunteer at hospitals. All these task that he did engendered an issue. The issue it created was that he had no time to do anything. He would
Personal Narrative There lay her limp body staring up at us. Her cold eyes were no longer
Today i will be writing a personal narrative about an incident that changed my life. I will be talking about the time I flew over 3,000 miles to Alaska. Around the beginning of last summer my grandparents told me I was going to be going to Alaska on a cruise. In early June of last year was probably one of scariest moments of my life! I flew on a plane for the first time. The day of the flight was pretty scary; between being in an airport and going through security to actually flying on a plane! Once we got in the air I was able to relax and actually enjoy the flight. Being in the clouds and being able to look out over the earth was amazing. i'm glad i could have the experience of being on a plane with my family. We flew into Seattle which was fun because we went shopping and went to a really nice restaurant and then boarded a cruise ship that would take us through Alaska.
My summer was completely over. I love my grandma and everything, but she had just ruined what I had been looking forward to the ENTIRE year.
Melanie woke up with nothing other than research on her mind. She knew that her last name was Easton and so was her mother's. What she didn't know was if that was her mother’s married name, or for that matter, if her mother had ever been married.
“I want to let you know how thankful I am for your assistance, Sam.” Mr. Bushnell said, leading me into an elevator.
Typically, the drive home would have taken two hours. We were seven hours in. The snow was blowing sideways– I was practically blind.
Here we are, 13 years old me. It was summer, in 2017. My friend Bryan and I were going into eighth grade, and starting to look at relationships more seriously. Bryan wasn’t really into them at this point, so when a girl started to like him, he didn’t care. We met this girl named Krista, from other friends. She was 5’3”, pale, funny, and caring. Krista immediately went after Bryan, doing whatever she could to make him happy. Bryan finally had to tell her how he actually felt. After doing so, she came to me. Looking for comfort, in which I gave her. We both started to catch feelings after talking for a week or so. Then one night, everything changed. She was mine, and I was hers. We had gone to Panera for a “first date” and we had a blast. We sat next to each other, I had my hand around her and her head was on my shoulder. I don’t think I had ever been so happy in my whole life. All I could think was, how did I, pale, short, athletic, and crazy, get a girl like that.
It was me and my friend in my car. We had drove over to St Louis, Missouri during the summer. We were 9 hours away when we had decided it was time to drive back home to Des Moines.
Since we are born we have imagination and as we grow up this imagination may increase or decrease. Creativity strongly relies in our imagination. Depending on different circumstances people learn to express their creativity openly while other people close themselves and believe they do not have creativity. Creativity is a natural talent that every single human has. Creativity can be used to solve a complex problem in a different manner or just to find innovative ways to have fun. Creativity is thinking out of the box. Even though creativity cannot be taught from scratch there should be a class that is specific for creativity.
