“Faith is taking the first step, even though you can’t see the whole staircase.” This quote by Martin Luther King Jr. speaks mountains when a person believes without seeing things clearly. I use my talents, interest, and abilities to help enhance my christian faith, leadership, and service. The crazy thing about my faith is I wasn't always a christian and when I rebelled against God I went through hell. The one summer during high school I was forced to go to church camp even though I didn't believe anymore, but this changed my walk with Christ. I finally made my way back to Christ because I wanted to have a personal relationship with him; not because this was out of obligation to my parents. I use my musical talents by singing in my church’s praise team. I plan and teach a youth lesson because I like to preach the word of God. This helps me speak the word of God and share my own unique testimony. Also actions can speak louder than words because I participate in the Pro- Life silent, solitary day each year in hopes to end abortion. I serve the Lord by helping a community through my youth group and my school’s Key Club. Also, I serve my community by participating in the PAL Lunch program once in a while. This helps people get at least one warm meal a day. Then I get to sit and listen to the word of God being spoken to me through many ways while i’m at creation which helps me through life’s
