Hitting The Bull’s Eye I stepped out of a life where I was put through a lot. I've been through foster care, through so many arguments with my family, and I have done a lot of mistakes throughout my life. It made me the confident and strong minded person I am today. I experienced failure many times, but moments like those made me realize that I needed to protect those who are in my shoes and take a step back into my own life and be a leader. It pushed me to learn things I never knew and to be a police officer have showed me these standards. Lessons can be learned from the littlest of experiences. Important life lessons can be taken from not only success, but also our greatest failures. Adversity can greatly alter our perspective and provide an individual with wisdom. The first time I was faced with adversity was when I broke my tibia and fibula. I was involved in sports and this was definitely a setback, to say the least. Moments after the accident, I realized that the months of recovery I would have to toil. I realized these future and upcoming months would require patience and I would undergo great amounts of drudgery.
Police enforcement is viewed as a courageous and honorable force from the majority of the nation. Whenever our lives are in danger, they are the first people we contact. A vast portion of Americans greatly depend on law enforcement to always keep us safe. Their main purpose is to serve and protect the country. For most of the police department, this statement is valid, but there are several individuals who the statement does not apply to.
Feeling responsible for situations out of my control was difficult. My grades were awful, it was impossible to focus on anything. I could hardly sleep at night with the amounts of stress I was under. Knowing that my father was an alcoholic with bi-polar disorder opened me up to a new world. I was exposed to so much more than the average kid, especially when he would bring me to the Alcoholic Anonyms meetings. I met so many interesting people threw my father. My entire view of the world and its inhabitants has been altered. Growing up was very difficult but the experiences that I had has shaped the person I am today.

Handling adversity is something that all people must do throughout their lives, but it is the ways in which individuals approach adversity that sets us apart. There are two contrasting ways in which you can respond to adversity: 1) you can either curl up into a ball and accept the outcome as it is 2) you can take control of the situation and work hard to make the resulting outcome in your favor. I faced adversity within sports when I was diagnosed with a physical disorder as a child.
Growing up as an only child I made out pretty well. You almost can’t help but be spoiled by your parents in some way. And I must admit that I enjoyed it; my own room, T.V., computer, stereo, all the material possessions that I had. But there was one event in my life that would change the way that I looked at these things and realized that you can’t take these things for granted and that’s not what life is about.
My family isn’t as great as I thought it was. My father’s side of the family has some weird past. My future has changed because none of my older relatives got far in education. My brother was the first family member to go to college. It really opened my eyes and made me realize who I am.
Everyone has a story, a pivotal moment in their life that started to mold them into the person they are today and may even continue to mold you to the person that you will become, I just had mine a little bit earlier than others. When I was three years old my brother became a burn survivor. It may seem too early for me to remember, but I could never forget that day. Since then, I have grown, matured and realized that what my family and I went through has been something of a benefit to be and an experience that has helped me in deciding what I want to do with the rest of my life.
There are many duties that come along with being a police officer. It’s not just about wearing the uniform, driving the nice car, and arresting people. Police officers need to set good examples to the people around them. They also have to talk and give information to any pedestrians that may need help. They heck for any law violations, respond to radio calls, watch for anything suspicious going on, and they also need to investigate any dangerous conditions that could harm anyone.
i was walking when i felt a sharp pain going up my foot. I fell to the ground and was crying i didn't know what just happened a lot of blood coming out and blood all over the ground. hopped for help when i told my dad that something just when in my foot he told me what went in your foot but i couldn't tell from all the blood that was coming out . he was cleaning the blood and found out that it was a nail,he told me it was nail. he was wondering where the nail come from,he tried to take it out but it was so far in my foot and i couldn't feel my foot when time pass by. when he tries to take it out more and more blood keeps coming out and there was nothing to stop it. when he tries to take it out i was in a lot of pain. when he couldn't take it out he said we need to go to the hospital.
I was running, running as fast as I possibly could. I just couldn't get away. They were after me, I knew they were. I couldn't run forever, no one can. I knew they saw everything I did, but i didn't care. I was going to hide even if they saw it or not. I got tired of looking for a place to hide and ducked into a dark alleyway. My heart was racing, my body was shaking, and I had adrenaline coursing through my entire body. I was scared, more scared than i had ever been, and that made me worry about my chosen hiding place.
