“Ouch my head, what happened” i said awakening under smoking rubble on what seemed like an island “Hey are you alright” said a bruised girl beside me I got up defensively grabbing a sword that was on the ground “who are you” I asked her trembling “You don’t remember” she said with a sad face “Listen, i don’t know who you are or why you were with me under this wall but this isn’t a good sign, i have to go make sense of this” i said backing away slowly “Where should we start” she asked getting up “No “we”, i think i’ll be better off alone, i don’t think trusting you would be a great idea” i said walking away “So that's how it feels” she said looking down “That’s how what feels” i said confused “You were always cold to others, but …show more content…
“You are bound to me and I to you” “What are you.. “ I started to get a bad migraine and started to see a faded memory of a ceremony, i saw her in a tribal gathering wearing a wolf skin dress. She was saying words I couldn't understand but I remembered it clearly. We were smiling and dancing around a fire. “What's going on, I said emerging from the hazy memory “Did you see it too, the binding ceremony, that's when our souls became one” she said taking a gentle hold of my hand “What...but...why can't i remember anything” I stumbling to the ground, overwhelmed by the pain. I got up and ran as fast as i could to get away, i didn’t know who i was or where i was, i reached the end to find that there was no way off of this place. She eventually caught up to see me staring down “what is this place” i asked her backing up from the …show more content…
I felt a push and when my eyes opened i saw her rising above me. She had pushed me off the cliff, the last thing i saw was her face, her eyes were still closed then the splash of water as i sunk. I felt a splash next to me and was carried to the river bank, I awoke to a starry night and a small fire. I recalled what had happened and confronted “how am I supposed to trust you, when you just tried to kill me” I said feeling betrayed “You were always afraid of falling my kitsune, it was the only thing i could think of to get us off the isle, let’s make camp here for the night” she said with a relieved look on her face “it may have looked peaceful but it’s full of dangerous creatures, the farther away we are the
The night was tempestuous and my emotions were subtle, like the flame upon a torch. They blew out at the same time that my sense of tranquility dispersed, as if the winds had simply come and gone. The shrill scream of a young girl ricocheted off the walls and for a few brief seconds, it was the only sound that I could hear. It was then that the waves of turmoil commenced to crash upon me. It seemed as though every last one of my senses were succumbed to disperse from my reach completely. As everything blurred, I could just barely make out the slam of a door from somewhere alongside me and soon, the only thing that was left in its place was an ominous silence.
It was a warm rainy June night the humidity was high which made it even harder to breathe on the crammed boat. My family was asleep on the constantly rocking boat suddenly the boat shook, but my family was still fast asleep. I couldn’t seem to fall asleep so I got up and stepped out on the cold wet steel boats upper deck to get some air. When I got outside I realized that it was pouring bucket sized rain. I saw increasingly large waves crash furiously against the lower deck. Hard water droplets pelted my face, I could taste the salt water in my mouth from the spray of the ocean. Suddenly A massive wave slammed hard against the ship and almost swallowed the boat. Wind gusts started kicking up. I held onto the rail grasping it as if it were my prized possession. Suddenly I was blown
I slowly walked not looking back. I didn’t care where I ended up and I gave up on owning a ranch. There’s no point. The cold chill was blazing on me and my shoe gently began to pull out a tear. I thought about Candy and the other guys. Hopefully I made the right choice. The sun came down and I ended up in a deserted river. Slowly, I began to regain where I was and I opened my eyes in disbelief. I reached the spot where Lennie almost drowned if I didn’t save him from this river. It’s still the same as we left it, same rock, same sound as the water moves, and same smell. I sat in the nearest rock and gazed on the water. I slowly pushed forward memories beginning to fill my head. The memory where I confessed to Slim
I heard a blood-curdling scream and I jumped. I felt silent tears running down my heavily scarred face, but they weren’t out of sadness. Mostly. They were a mixture of pain and fear. I ran into the eerie, blood-splattered room and screamed as I felt cold fingers grab my neck.
Her lungs burnt and her breath caught in her throat. Every second she wasted was a second closer to losing him. Then she saw him, a distorted shadow in the moonlight. She cried out his name again through chapped lips. Tears pooled in her eyes, like a gentle ocean resembling her bleeding heart. Mascara smudged around her cheeks like charcoal. She stumbled forwards, her legs threatening to give way. Rough edged rocks tore at her clothes, slashing her trousers like something in a horror movie. But she had to keep going. After all they had been through, she couldn’t lose him now. Not
Everything started a few years ago. It was a warm and beautiful night in Africa; the dark blue sky was full of stars… and those were the last things I remember before I woke up in a cold and wet floor. I do not know where I was, or why I my hands were tight behind my back.
The rope suddenly snapped. I fell and I fell until I hit something soft, something beating. I found myself lying, on my stomach, against what looked like a human heart.
“Don’t give it a second thought, sometimes it’s nice to be alone, alone with someone else,” she said.
I had just awoken to find myself in a forest, surrounded by large trees and unfamiliar plants, with no clue where I am, nor how I got here. I still feel half asleep, my brain foggy and my body heavy, I try to focus and remember how I got here.
I entered her bedroom, where she was last sighted. A peevish odour was rising from the bed. Mist started rising, the room was surrounded with gases and it was all I remembered of the past.
It was odd being on the other side of the law. I couldn't hide behind my father's name any longer If he even would claim me as his own anymore. The flash broke my concentration.
“We shouldn’t have come this way. I better get my butt home before I get in trouble,” mumbled knowing it was dangerous.
"I am not either, but we had better go down there, or they will be on our cases next," I replied to him, placing a hand on his lower back to guide him down the hallway.
I awoke, there was a crash on the upper deck. I heard a thunderous crackling from my head above. I ran up the stairs and what I saw devastated me. The small wooden boat was completely coated in billowy flames."Help, help, somebody please!"I slowly moved towards the sound being careful to dodge flames as much as possible.
“Same!” some smooth sound called my name. I looked up to the direction of that smooth sound, but I could not say anything. Khwan stood in front of me. With her shiny eyes and her pretty smile, she asked me,
