A fight breaks out in the cafeteria, a kid smashes a milk carton on another student’s face. One of those “your mom” jokes had gone too far. This does not have to be you. You are just entering Jr. high, it's a new school with new rules and new faces. Think of it as a fresh, new palette, you can paint yourself as whoever you want to be. Whether that be a straight A student or a total flunk. I had survived the first half of the school year and finals week was here. I had projects from all classes, tests to study for, and essays to write. I wondered to myself, “How am I going to manage all of this?”. I was stressed out to the maximum. Fife’s drop out rate is 14%, imagine a classroom with 25 kids and 4 of those kids don’t make it to graduation . Those 4 kids will make about 20,000 a year. That is barely living. With that money they could probably rent out a small studio apartment. The other 21 students will make approximately 30,000 a year. One can probably rent a 1-2 bedroom apartment with that salary. You can probably fit 2 high school dropout apartments into 1 high school graduate apartment. Be ambitious, and don’t lose sight of what the future may hold for you. If you’re going to choose to stay in school, you might want to keep track of all your papers while you’re at it. If you don’t stay organized, you’ll lose your paper and get an F. When you get an F, you give up and drop out of school. When you drop out of school you get into drugs. When you get into drugs, you overdose and die. Don’t overdose and die, stay …show more content…

Dr. Sandeep Jauhar, a cardiologist and author says that, “The only mistake you can make is not asking for help”. I have a 4.0 in school and sometimes I can’t get my head wrapped around a lesson, I still bring myself to ask questions. You can be the smartest person in the class and still be unsure about what the teacher is talking about. Don’t be afraid of people calling you stupid because you simply didn’t understand the lesson. Ask for help and in the end you will be the one getting an A on the
