It is convenient for recording artist to be able to record their own music without having to pay someone for studio time. Well that is me. I record my own music in my house. I paid less than $125 for all my studio equipment. When I was eleven years old, my auntie and her kids died in a house fire. I decided to make a song about them, but I did not have money or a place to record. This tragedy is what got me interested in studio recording. I knew that is was not going to be easy becoming a studio engineer, but I was very determined to take the steps that were needed to achieve my goal. I always wondered how rappers record their music. The only hard part is that it is very time consuming. The great thing about being a music technician is that they can always add their own taste to any record. Originally, their job as music technician is to just press record. After the artist is done with the record, the music technician is supposed to add effects to make the vocals sound better. A music technician also operates and sets up the recording equipment in a studio to procure and outline or shape the sound of the artist's record. Colleges help with this by make sure the students are familiar with working recording programs. Such as Protools, Logic Pro, Cubase, Fruity Loops Studios, Nuendo, and Audacity. Most schools start with Logic Pro because it focuses more on fundamentals rather than add-ons. Not only is this an interesting field to go into, but it also has many benefits. Being a music technician also comes with a couple of benefits. Due to the fact that most famous rappers travel a lot, they most likely do not have a permanent studio. This means that music technicians meet celebrities often, and they have a chance to hear new music before it is released. This also brings recognition to the technician, causing even more celebrities to want to record with them. To me, it is best to get money in cash without going through the government.
