Personal Essay: Overcoming Obstacles In My Life

In my life I have been faced with many obstacles and I refuse to let anything get in the way of me furthering my education and attending a four year college or university. Ever since birth I have defied the odds. I had to grow up without having my biological mother or father in my life however, I never let that situation get me down. I have always put my best foot in front in order to tackle any situation that I was faced with in my lifetime. I was about six months old and my mother dropped me off at my grandmothers house and ever sense has not showed up. My father has never been in the picture either in and out of jail is the normal for him. By me sharing my story with you it tells you that I am not someone who rolls over easy when faced with a challenge. I am someone who likes a challenge and will take it head on. My personal background has shaped me into the young man that I have become this very day. My background story is something that I choose to share with you because I am a prime example of someone who has been faced with a challenge and when faced will put up a fight . In a way I'm just like Beowulf. Beowulf knew that he must be a hero and save people no matter how ferocious Grindle or his mother was. And I must be a hero as well. I plan on majoring in political science or pre law. And I'm not going to save a whole town from a mysterious creature or its mother however, I will put my best foot forward in college and perform to the highest of my potential and one day save people's lives in a courtroom.
