Nature vs. Nurture
Who are you? Why are you who you are? Many years ago until now psychologists have and still are debating how you act, and why you’re acting the way you do. Do we get our common sense from our genetics? Or are we just getting common sense from being around the people we hang around? Do we get part of our common sense from both our surroundings and are genetics? Nature and Nurture are both things that work together they aren’t just separate jobs. They each may do a bit of different things but all in all they both work together and they do things with each other and may also do some things alone. Such as a personal example my sister was born five years after me and she is the youngest and my brother is two years older than me and my brother both look alike and we both have brown curly hair both tall and then we are also bigger boned.
My sister was born with blonde hair and she is filled with freckles and she also is very short compared to what we were at her age. She is 5’2 and in eighth grade and when I was in fifth grade I was like 5 6 or 5 7 and I had huge feet and that is just an example with reference to nature vs. nurturing that where hereditary falls in play.
Hereditary is inheritance from family members. Such as genetics from the parents. Also families may get diseases, which are carried in the family. What is nature? Nature is the part that is genetic inheritance and biological factors. The biological is focusing mainly on what our hormonal changes are and what is going on with our neurochemicals in our body for explanation why we behave the way we don’t. We are born with things that can 't be changed such as hair color, eye, how tall we get, what kind of hair were going to have such as straight curls wavy etc. these are all things we have and can 't change …show more content…

It is proven it is because of there genes. But then nurture plays a part in this too because they were raised by different family’s they learned different things and one could of learned one thing and the other could have learned another thing from there family’s but then they did learn what the other has learned. In a study of 1990 it is found that genetics account for 50 percent of the religiosity among each population. A study in 1986 in Minnesota found that genetics play a larger role on personality then it was to be previously thought to be. According to the nature and nurture: the study of twins on YouTube, It shows how when twins are born how similar they are when there born. It shows that when you have an identical twin that you want differences because they learn they don’t want to be the same.
You can see starting in the womb that from the nature part it already shows the difference because one of the twins in the womb usually gets more nutrients then the other which shows when they are born and one is greatly smaller then the other. When testing the twins research shows that there IQ different at first. Then after doing the IQ test a few times they began to rise and become closer to the same
