The Small Gym has a very different dynamic. I am allowed access to the Small Gym being that it was my former place of employment. The Small Gym is owned by a family member of mine whose name I’ve given to be Bryan. From experience I know the gym membership has gone up and down from depending on how aggressive marketing is and the time of year. There are times when the gym is full of 50 people and times when it may only have five or ten members at a time. Bryan employed people in a number of ways but primarily in traditional fashion, renting out gym space to private trainers and hiring trainers to train gym members. All of these points carry a certain amount of weight in a person decision from personal experience. I’ve learned that price makes quite the difference for many individuals especially for someone who falls in the middle to low middle class of our economic spectrum. The Big Gym offers a basic gym member price of $50 per month to use the equipment and the rest of its facilities, like the pool basketball courts and so on. While a very small number of people make their decision based on the facilities alone, others seem to be attracted to the available equipment at a low price. However, to hire a personal trainer from the Big Gym costs $50 per session, if one is interested in the facilities but needs close attention and instruction. Like we mentioned before, the majority of members at the Big Gym are experienced to a degree, so the need for a personal trainer in unlikely. The Small Gym prices are actually only accessible by employing a personal trainer. While the prices for them vary, the median cost is about $20-$35 per session, there are also discounts that are offered for booking multi-month packages. The location of the Big Gym seems to play a very big role in its members, from personal experience, nearly all of its members are only traveling 10 to 15 minutes maximum to get there.
