I believe being a teacher is one of the most important jobs there is. We are molding the next generation of lawyers, doctors, and scientists. We are giving children the tools necessary to be successful in their studies, and then the work force. We are horticulturists intelligence, planting the seed that can only sprout when cultivated. It is also a field where you have to consistently grow with the market. We must consistently grow with our students and with the advancement of the world as well. I have many professional goals that I set for myself because I believe it is important to continuously work to improve yourself and your craft. I was worried about getting to the football game on Friday among other typical teenage activities. It was often seen as taboo to laugh, or be fidgety in school; but I couldn 't concentrate on the information being taught because I could hear the second hand on the clock in the front of the room clicking away over the teacher 's voice. Instruction was extremely dull and It was hard to pay attention. I never intentionally acted out in classrooms or disrespected my teacher. I want to create a culture that is intelligent, and zany, and doesn 't make space for fear and judgement. I want to bring energy and laughter back into the classroom, and show my students that I can be silly too, but when I mean business, I mean business.
