A pediatrician is a doctor that deals with the treatment and management of a child’s injuries or sicknesses. Their patients include children from birth to the age of 21 years. Pediatricians treat many different illnesses like infections, birth defects, injuries, cancers, and diseases. Some more of their medical assistances would be a child’s diet and exercise. They are not only concerned with the physical issues at hand but also the mental problems. Some mental issues include social problems, suicidal thoughts and feelings, depression, anxiety, and developing issues. A pediatrician must have good communication skills in order to be able to make the patient feel more comfortable or if the patient has issues describing the source of the pain. Also, a pediatrician must be able to communicate well with an emotional or stressed guardian so that they can still understand what is happening with their child. In being a pediatrician there are tons of physical requirements. Some are that you have to be able to stay on your feet all day because that’s all you will be doing, you need to have steady hands, be able to talk clearly and make sense, and especially have good eyesight. Physical things are defiantly crucial but being mentally tough is very important in this field which goes back to communication. You have to be able to keep it together while diagnosing a child’s illness or when telling the parents and family. Children passing away because of a sickness is a hard thing to witness. One of the hardest parts about the job is telling parent the outcome. That’s why mental toughness and communication are very important. There are many different types of options that pediatricians can specialize in including hematology-oncology, cardiology,... ... middle of paper ... ...ey will not only receive good pay but they will start to receive things like health insurances, retirement plans, holidays, and vacations. There are some not so good parts in being a pediatrician. The long hours, the years spent in school studying and preparing yourself for the future, the money it takes for medical school, the pressure of making the right decision with someone else’s life, and much more. The money and the vacations are great but the reason I want to be a pediatrician is so that I can help save children’s lives and cure them not to become rich or live in a big house. No child should have to suffer and be in pain. Making sure a child stays healthy is really important to me. I have always loved being around children and have always had a great interest in the medical field. One day I hope to fulfill my goals and hopes in becoming a pediatric doctor.
Every little kid has high expectations for what they want to be when they grow up. Some dream of becoming president of the United States of America, or becoming an Astronaut, a lot of little kid ’s say that they want to be a Doctor. What kids do not understand is that there are many types of doctors, like an orthopedic surgeon, who works with feet, or an oral surgeon, who works with the mouth. Having worked as a rehab aide in an outpatient clinic, my pediatric observation experience was completely different from what I am used to seeing. The therapist I observed was Allie Ribner who works at All Children’s Child Development and Rehab Center. Each session was completely different from one another for the session was geared towards the goals of the child and families. I found this to be a great learning experience for I saw a wide variety of different treatments and age range from 14 months to 15 years old.

Another would be a higher beginning salary. Finally job security, because a pediatrician can always go into another medical field, or subspecialty in which they practice in. Now let’s go to the con. The downfall of specializing in pediatrics would be appeasing to the parent’s and avoiding lawsuits or malpractice. That’s added stress, since you know what is right for the patient, but parents feel like they know it all. Sometimes you have to work on weekends and holidays, since accidents and injuries aren’t always expected. Those medical school expenses still follow you might want to start paying it
A career in nursing is extremely important in today's society. Without nurses to assist doctors in the care of patients, the quality of patient care may not be the same. Nurses do not just serve a great role in our community, but they also are just as needed as a police officer patrolling the streets or a teacher in the classroom. Although it may seem very easy to become a nurse, one's desire must be very strong in order to to actually pursue a career in nursing. Pediatric nursing is not just a profession that one would desire, but is a profession that is widely needed.

Many people in this world want to make a difference in life. However, most people do not want to put in all the effort that it takes to do so. The job of a pediatrician is life-changing to many. Unfortunately, it takes drive and effort that many people do not have, to become a pediatrician. A pediatrician’s job is a highly-skilled and interesting job because he or she has the privilege to deal with and help as many children as possible.
Since I am intrigued by the children’s personalities, I love spending time with them (and that’s why their child-like ways rub off on me). Thus, I believe that my own childish personality and my love of children will motivate me in the near future to help them out with their medical needs. Also, being a pediatrician and helping out children has its own rewards. Not only will I be doing something I enjoy, but I will be getting paid a generous price as well. A pediatrician’s salary is not the highest compared to surgeons or cardiologists, but it’s enough to have a life that is something more than simply satisfying.
