Every dream needs a spark, and for me, the match that lit my passion for pediatric occupational therapy occurred when I was in sixth grade. In 2012, my cousin was horrifically injured in a school bus crash that left him in critical condition. However, seeing the remarkable recovery he made with the help of his doctors and therapists was truly a miracle. With their aid, he went from being connected to machines in a hospital bed to living life as a rowdy teenage boy; this led to my desire of helping kids in similar situations as his.
