In our society, there are a lot of different types of diet. Some of them are not healthy, but some diets bring healthy nutrient to our body in which has helped the metabolism works better in our body. Paleo diet is one of the healthiest diets. This diet is known as cavemen diet because it only suggests eating food which is gathered from nature by hunting. Basically this diet is based on the evolution of human. However, this diet also avoids eating foods that cannot be eaten raw. This is because that most of the food is hunted from animals that are fed by natural food. If you want to avoid any diseases appear, you should cook their food well before eating. As we have known that food from this diet is all natural without any chemical, or it may be known as organic food. In order to get the best result when you try this diet, you should avoid certain nutrients which are only available from the industrial processing. For example, sugar, refined seed and vegetable oils, grain which is particularly wheat, legume which is particularly soy and starchy tuber like potatoes. For protein, this diet prefers to have the lean beef or pork from cows or pigs which are fed by grass instead of grain. In order to enrich the diet, fats are also natural. You should use oil from coconut, tallow and lard rather than using the refined vegetable oil. More than that Paleo diet does not contain grains, such as bread, pasta, or noodles; beans; peanuts, or any dairy products. The carbohydrate would be found in their vegetables. Basically every nutrient and food of this diet should not be processed and undergone any chemical or genetically modified. Based on the research of Dr. Frassetto, the Paleo diet mostly are lots of fruits and vegetable, some nuts and ... ... middle of paper ... ...the trace of nutrients, the results are that the contemporary Paleo diet contains 38% of protein, 29% of fat, 23% of carbohydrate by energy are now considering from current western values. This told that if this diet is a long-term diet, it will be not that good since the amount of carbohydrate is lower than fat. The fact is that carbohydrate is the long-term storage for energy in our body. Thus if the body is lack of carbohydrate, the body will get tired easily. In contrast, this is a great idea for contemporary diet because fat can be the short-term storage of energy. Conclusions The contemporary diet is actually based on the Paleo diet in which maintained both trace and macronutrient qualities known to reduce the risk of a variety of chronic diseases in Western area. Overall, Paleo diet is suitable to be a contemporary diet based on the results was shown above.
