Have you ever heard about Otzi the Iceman? The man who was found in 1991 by hikers completely frozen in ice? The man’s corpse that is 5,300 years old and was preserved in ice? If yes, let me tell you a little more about him. If no, why don’t I tell you who he is,what happened to him, and what he did. Otzi, they say, was the leader of a group of early people. And he was the oldest person of that time, and had many health issues. One of his health issues was that had heart disease. Also, they found that Otzi had anatomical abnormalities, such as no wisdom teeth and he was missing a 12th pair of ribs. After reading both of these essays and doing extensive research on both viewpoints, I completely agree with Revkin that global warming is an enormous threat to our world today. My research not only helped me to take a stand but it also showed me the invalidity in Stott’s essay.
