Oracle: For All of Your Vendor Needs The Oracle Corporation is an American multinational computer technology corporation headquartered in Redwood City, California, United States. Oracle specializes in developing and selling computer hardware systems and enterprise software products – particularly its own brands of database management systems. As of 2011, the company is the second only to Microsoft in terms of revenue. The company also builds tools for database development and systems of middle-tier software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, customer relationship management (CRM) software and supply chain management (SCM) software. Oracle sells a large suite of business applications. The Oracle E-Business Suite contains software to perform lots of enterprise functions connected to, for instance, financials, manufacturing, customer relationship management (CRM), enterprise resource planning (ERP) and human resources. The Oracle Retail Suite covers the retail-industry vertical, supplying merchandise management, price management, invoice matching, allocations, store operations management, warehouse management, demand forecasting, merchandise financial planning and assortment planning. Users have access to these facilities through a web browser interface, over the Internet, or through their corporate intranet.
