Ali 1 Lord of the Flies CRASH! A plane crashes on an vacant island. No help looks like it's coming. No one to depend on the on other than the boys who were on the plane. This occurs in Lord Of The Flies by William Golding. A movie where it shows the journey of a group of boys and how they must create a government to survive. John Locke, a famous philosopher, would not approve of government shown on the island because a violation of people's life appears, there is oppression towards Piggy, and Jack and the hunters did not follow their civic duties. During their stay on the island, the government starts going out of control, and people's lives suffer because of it. Even from the beginning they start being mean to him, as they called him fatty, then it escalated to not giving him any food, then breaking his glasses which made him blind, then even killing him (Lord of the Flies). In the three natural rights, John Locke created, he includes liberty. And not being oppressed or discriminated against are included in that. And not only did Jack and his hunters oppress Piggy to death, the government didn't make any serious actions to stop this or give Jack consequences, which Locke also wouldn't agree …show more content…

However, Jack decides that it would be more important for him and his whole group to hunt, instead of intending the fire without telling Ralph so he could at least assign other people to the fire. And while the hunters were gone a plane did fly by and did not save the boys because Jack didn't agree to follow his civic duties. Locke would disapprove of what Jack did and the government's response, because Locke believes as a citizen you are obligated to do duties the government assigns you, and if you don't you would have to pay. And he believes that the citizens should go to the government if they have questions on their duties, however Jack did not go to Ralph and tell him that they were all going hunting instead of keeping the fire, which ends up costing them to stay on the island way
