The film revolves around the most trusted and highly skilled Secret Service Agent, Mike Banning—Played by Gerald Butler—who is also the United States presidents most trusted agent. Throughout the movie the president, his office staff, and his son are all held hostage by a group of terrorist who intend to launch a nuclear attack and commence a war. Olympus Has Fallen introduces us to how his fear of losing his country thus, eventually his family and his friends allow him to be courageous and do more than what he thought possible in order to succeed. When the news announces that the White House is down the country goes into fear thus causing controversy. When the most protected most heavily guarded place went down people feared for their lives. Mike was no different, he knew that even though the White House was down he could still help and possibly change the situation, not because he wanted to be remembered as a hero, but because he feared of losing the thing most precious for him, his family. Fear is the reason we are successful, why we strive for greatness, why we want to make our parents proud. The fear of failing is what makes us strong. The film Olympus Has Fallen undoubtedly shows how courage and fear are everything you need to overcoming obstacles and become successful.
