Some people think that Olympic Games are considered a waste of money, while others think that its advantages deserve the money. Do the Olympic Games have advantages over its disadvantages? We have to know that its advantages are big. Nobody can live without playing or watching sports. For some people sports play a major role in their life. Some people are interested in watching football matches, tennis matches, volleyball matches, handball matches or swimming competitions. Not only that but in our societies nowadays people enjoy competing. A lot of people may place bets on their favorite team and players with their friends and family. A lot of people enjoy watching the Olympic Games together and it became a tradition of theirs. The Olympic Games are considered as one of the biggest worldwide events. According to historical records, the first ancient Olympic Games can be traced back to 776 BC. In the ancient Olympic Games only free men could take part and had to speak only Greek. Their reward was a crown of olive leaves unlike today they take medals. Also, the difference was that women were not allowed to compete. They were dedicated to the Olympian gods and were staged on the ancient plains of Olympia. The Olympic Games are the leading international sporting event featuring summer and winter sports competitions where thousands of athletes variously compete. It acts as a form of peace between nations as one doesn't put into mind the religion or nationality of the athletes but focus only on the talent.
