Everyone has dreams; some more realistic than others. The American Dream captures the attention of many people, but the inevitable failure is hidden beneath the theory that hard work can accomplish anything. Because of the Great Depression, widespread unemployment and an economic collapse occurred. George, Lennie, Candy, and Curley’s wife all have different ideas of the American Dream.
