People are obese due to many factors, some of them include; the limit of available time, sleep deprivation and the increase in food variety. Obesity means having too much body fat. It differs from being overweight, which simply means just weighing too much. The weight may come from muscle, bone, fat, and/or body water. Both words mean that the individual's weight is greater than what's considered to be healthy for his or her height. Obesity happens when you eat more calories than what you are going to use. The balance between calories-in and calories-out differs for each person.

Excess fat restricts the expansion of the rib cage and leaves less space for the diaphragm to move downward as it should. In addition, the lungs provide extra storage places for some of the fat, and that reduces the exchange of oxygen. Some people huff and puff as they perform the easiest daily tasks. Others must sit down to rest after climbing short flights of stairs. Impaired breathing is one of many ways in which obesity affects life quality.
