Nuclear Power Letter

Hello Mr. Wolfe, Please read this letter on how we should build more Nuclear Power plants. I stand by Nuclear Power on many reasons. First of all, they produce massive amounts of power for the state. Another reason is that they are relatively cheap to maintain. But they don’t come without risk. In my opinion, the benefits outweigh the risk. We need this type of energy to maintain this state, and help the people with their daily energy needs. We don’t want to make anyone angry, especially the green party. The Green party is a horrific party. First, I will start with the benefits. One benefit is that they don’t produce as many pollution substances as a standard coal factory. They are also much more effective. As uranium rods last …show more content…

Moreover,Nuclear Energy helps produce energy even at times of a disastrous storm, or when it snows. It will also last much longer than our current fossil fuels. Also, operating a power plant requires strict background checks, and lots and lots of training to work at one. Thick concrete walls also help massively with safety measures. Lastly, the safety equipment is extremely secure, and nearly never is disrupted or fails to do its job of preventing nuclear accidents.Nevertheless, These are my benefits on Nuclear energy. Like I said before, no source of energy comes without flaws. First of all, uranium mining isn’t a sanitary process, and can provide pollution hazards in the radius that the uranium was disposed of. Also, Nuclear waste is extremely difficult to store, as it is highly radioactive and has to be stored properly. Consequently, it would take hundreds of years for the radioactive material to actually be at a safe level. Nevertheless, accidents that release chemicals can have harmful effects on the people near the area, the environment, and will leave the area contaminated, or at a uninhabitable
