The process defines the functions of managers along with the functions to enable the team members to perform their functions. Through the management process of a project, project manager can keep the project productive and focused. The project team possess the authority to discontinue the part of the entire project if it is not fulfilling the expectations. The project manager also has the responsibility of working with the consumer in the situations of requiring timeline, inappropriate estimations in budget, or delays in event. The fall dance concert, Rise, was held in the University Theatre at California State University Dominguez Hills. The individuals that helped make this concert come to life are the faculty choreographers: Amy Michelle Allen, Marco Carreon, Sarah Cashmore, Jeff Hendrix, Erin Landry, Doris Ressl Acosta, and Kenneth Walker. They were accompanied by two senior student choreographers, Alanna Neely-Sanchez and Mavra Pedraza.

Over Halloween weekend, Dance TCU in concert, performed at Ed Landreth Hall on the TCU campus, was a mid term showcase performed by the students in the TCU School for Classical and Contemporary Dance. The overall mood was very professional. These college level dancers performed various pieces from Giselle to video edited versions of dance to contemporary dances inspired by swing dancing. When it comes to a dancer’s income, there can be a wide spectrum of their earnings. Depending on their position, there is a different outcome of payments. Unfortunately, dance professions aren’t always the most reliable sources of income, this partially because of the lack in funding. It is very common for someone in the dance industry to resort to second and even third job on the side just to make ends meet.
Dancing culture is categorized as one of the alternative geography. The cultural scenarios are found in the following areas that include Los Angeles, which include Pilate training and Ballet, Butoh with Oguri, Khmer Classical Dance, and Hae Kyung Lee. Dance concert fall 2015, an evening of music and diverse styles of dance performed by students that are enrolled in dance class. The dance was a mix of either the choreography is the professor Mina Liccione or the students, which was their midterm exam performance. The dance took place at the American university of sharjah, specifically at the arts building. The dance started by an opening then 5 dance performance followed by 10 minutes break. After the break we had 2 other dance performances next a special guest and finally the final dance.

As a culmination of years of training at Loyola, the senior dance majors performed pieces from international choreographers. Performing both solo pieces and a group piece, the dancers were able to show their individuality through the movements of professionals. The showcase was located in Loyola’s Palm Court, which provided a light, open space for the impactful dances to witnessed. The February 25th performance held a certain ambience to it, as the emotions of the dancers were high, acknowledging the end of their time dancing here at Loyola. In total, there were seven pieces performed, six solos and one group dance.

Dance serves as an exposure of expression throughout the world depending on its cultural context and function of either producing a work of art, a way of socializing or its use for ritualistic purposes. Bollywood, one of the most famous styles of cultural dance, in essence is an Indian film dance style modeled on both the traditional Indian classical and folk dance while fusing inspiration from more modern styles, allows the performer to act out the lyrics of a song, fashioning a story. The wild world of African dance on the other hand, represents the fundamentals and belief system of historical Africa, by moving in an expression to their inner feelings. Although these styles of dance may seem to be at either end of the spectrum, each share the similarity of a “mass pattern of dance which may hold a mirror to humanity…functionally allowing the human body to be exposed to the world, communicating in every aspect, whether it is the magnificent art form or the daily movement” (Doris Humphrey). Through analysis and interpretation of both the non-movement and movement components, while examining the function of dance which is present in each cultural art form, the similarities and differences of how they create meaning through dance will be exposed.
Project planning falls in the Planning Process Group which consists of those processes to establish the projects total scope, define the projects objectives, and courses of action to achieve those objectives. During the planning process, all the documents that are needed to carry the project through the project lifecycle will be developed such as the project management plan. Project management requires repeated feedback loops as additional information becomes available and is better understood. The planning process delineates the strategy, tactics, and path to successfully complete the project. With that, the planning of a project must walk through all the those processes from executing, monitoring and controlling through the closing process.
When planning a new project, how the project will be managed is one of the most important factors. The importance of a managers will determine the success of the project. The success of the project will be determined by how well it is managed. Project management is referred to as the discipline that entails the processes of carefully planning, organizing, controlling, and motivating the organization resources so as to foster and facilitate the achievement of specific established and desired goals and meet the specific criteria of success required in the organization (Larson, 2014). Over the course of this paper I will be discussing and analyzing the importance of project management.
