About 6 million Jews died during the Holocaust. Elie Wiesel, a survivor of the Holocaust, wrote a book called Night that captures his experience in the concentration camps. Elie Wiesel, an Israelite boy, captures the horrifying realities of the Holocaust with his memoir called Night. The third reich was taking over, conquering countries and wanted to exterminate the race of the Israelites. They were looked down upon and ruthlessly murdered with no pity whatsoever. Auschwitz was the most infamous camp of the Holocaust and Elie Wiesel was transported there.
Elie Wiesel was born on September 30, 1928 in Sighet, Transylvania, a region in Romania. He is the third born child from his father named Shlomo Wiesel and his mother Sarah Wiesel. His two older sisters were named Hilda and Beatrice and his little sister, Tzipora. He was a well devoted orthodox jewish boy adhering the Jews traditions and laws. He worked hard to accommodate to society and get a job as a writer. He wrote one of the most famous books called Night and a couple of years later he found a women. Her name was Marion Erster, and they later got married in the year of 1969. A few years went by and she gave birth to a child and they agreed to name him Shlomo Elisha Wiesel. Marion Wiesel Was born at Vienna, Austria and a Holocaust survivor as well. The marriage lasted of forty seven years until Elie passed away in NY City. His death occurred in the date of July 2, 2016. Her wife still lives on and his son is now an american businessman and serves as chief information officer of Goldman
