This paper will discuss the Neighborhood Family Clinic in the Madison area with a brief description of the facility which a free-standing building with an adequate waiting area with the capacity to hold up to twenty to twenty-five patients. The building is brick with squared darkened bubbled glass windows that cover both the east and west sides of the building. The front of the building sits slightly to the side of the parking lot it has two glass doors that lead to a small foyer which meets another glass door. Upon entering the facility the check-in desk is about six to eight feet from the door. The Neighborhood Family Clinic is a smaller clinic compared to many of the larger clinics that subside under some of the major hospitals but is equipped with multiple exam rooms and it has on-site capability to do labs at the facility.
Community or facility need for building or renovation
The community or facility need for the building or renovation is one of a great need because there are 11 Neighborhood Clinics in the Nashville Area that provide health and preventive services to over 25,000 patients a year with over 90,00 visits a year and that number is continuously climbing. There will be an increase in patients over the next two to three years, as many individuals are now aware of the neighborhood clinics and the services they provide at a less expensive rate as many of the clinic affiliated with the major hospitals and the locations are in surrounding communities with a great need for health services. The Neighborhood clinics provide several services to individuals with low-income, uninsured people, and working class individuals that have difficulty getting to major clinics due to work or other issues.
