In the world we live in today we see so many negative views of police officers and within the justice system. With the view being so negative there is a large fear of crime that citizens have because many are afraid to call the police. This is because they now have a reason to fear for their lives. This being said we have started to see a rise in private security officers being hired. They are now the ones being called in to come and keep the peace.
In many communities it is said that many areas are starting to see an increase in private security officers coming in instead of police. When it comes down to private security officers you have to think of their ability, training and education. A way that the company could avoid all of the legal issues is by going over the laws, rules and regulations even though it is harder for private companies who have been hired. It almost seems as if security companies would seem to rather settle in court instead of moving towards a trial. This is mostly difficult to determine and even though it is determined there is still a motion that can be taken against an employer even when the person who caused all of the confusion is no longer employed with them. Even with this there are still two types of security officers that a company can have and that include in-house and subtract. Of course to each there are pros and cons to having them. Pros for in-house security include: control of quality and appearance of officers, response times are monitored, guards are trained to solve basic security problems, can be marketed as a bundled service, and enables better communication with customers. Information is delivered directly to the dealer rather than through a third party. Some cons of this include: increased insurance costs, requires management and personnel skills.
