Narrative Essay About Friends

When I was younger a teacher of mine, Ms. Macy, would constantly tell us that friends are forever, no matter what. I took her words literally and thought that when you made a friend, they would be in your life until the day you died. Friends are very important to me. My friends are like my family. Could you imagine how upset I was the day my best friend, Stephanie stopped talking to me over a stupid misunderstanding? Steph and I have been friends since we were in diapers. She even lived right across the street from me. We would do everything together. We were inseparable. I never thought in a million years, that our friendship would come to an end.

If my grandma calls for me, we’ll know and come back home.” So that’s what we did. We set up the phones and snuck out the upstairs door to get our bikes. She had to sneak into her garage to get hers and I ran across the street to get mine. We got on our bikes and rode around the block a couple of times before I noticed that the call was no longer connected to Stephanie’s phone. We didn’t want to get in trouble, so we raced home as fast as we could. As we were coming down the block we saw Jerri, Steph’s grandmother, standing in front of her house. “Where have you been?” she demanded as we came to a stop in front of the house. “I told you you were grounded and couldn’t leave the house. You were lucky I let Victoria come over to begin with. First you left the kitchen a mess, and then you disobeyed me by leaving the house?” “It was Victoria’s idea to bake and she said to just leave the mess for later so we can ride our bikes!” she screamed back. I replied “I never said that-”, but Jerri interrupted “I don’t care whose idea it was. Get in the house Stephanie and give me your phone, your grounded,
