There are many Myths and legends in the world and some are more common than others. Different people believe in different myths and legends. They are different myths and legends that correspond with different religions and countries. Myths can be a long story or a short story, some myths can be more interesting than others. Adam and Eve is one of the common myths, Jewish, Christian, and Islamic religious believe that Adam and Eve were the first parents of the entire human Race. Adam and Eve were in Genesis, the first book of the bible it contains two accounts of how Adam and Eve came into being. The first version Dates between 600 and 400 BC, it says God created all living things including man and woman “in his own image”. In the second version witch is several countries older, God (Yahweh) made Adam from dust and breath “the breath of life” into his nostrils. God created animals so that Adam would not be by himself. But God saw that Adam needed a human partner, so he put Adam to sleep and took one of his ribs from his side and created Eve. Adam and Eve had a garden called Eden, Eden had four rivers the flowed out of the garden and into the world, but the Garden of Eden is a different myth. God made a tree, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, the tree had a fruit that was forbidden. God said not to eat the forbidden fruit, but the serpent on the tree persuaded Eve to eat the forbidden fruit and Adam tasted the forbidden fruit too. Adam and Eve lost their innocence immediately, and they became ashamed of their nakedness and they covered themself with leaves, when God saw they had not listened to him he kicked Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden. The next myth is not so popular. The myth is the Lug, the Lug was a God of t... ... middle of paper ... ...and land in California, Pecos Bill landed so hard he made Death Valley. One day when he was getting on in years, Pecos Bill was walking down the street in Laredo, Texas. Pecos Bill saw a man from Boston wearing a fancy cowboy suit and asking dumb questions about the West. Pecos Bill took one look at the man, lay down on the sidewalk, and laughed until he died. Another story says that he died after eating a meal of barbed wire washed down with “nitroglycerin”. No madder what in both stories Pecos Bill dies. Adam and Eve and El Dorado are one of the most popular and common myth and legend, but The Lug, Pecos Bill are one of the least popular myth and legend. I choose these myths and legends, because I thought it might be interesting to learn about the myth and legend I didn’t know about. What I found interesting was how many people believed in the myths and legends.
