The novelist career is truly unique. It has always interested me. The freelance writer career seemed mysterious and exhilarating. Being able to drive someplace quiet and let out all of your hopes and fears into a book is what I want to do. A novelist is someone who writes novels basically. They combine fiction with some real life experiences and write books. Some could say that any ordinary person could do this. This statement is false! It takes someone with creativity and a passion to write. Someone who can take their life experiences and mix it with fiction to create an invigorating book. To be successful in the novelist career, education is required. Since I am going to community college first, I plan on obtaining an Associate of Arts degree. Transferring to Appalachian State University and obtaining a bachelor's degree in English would be my next step. During these four years I am going to take as many writing classes as possible. An easy career that any ordinary person could have. In the past years, I have realized that I can do just about anything I put my mind to. A man from my church once told me that I had an amazing talent in writing. I have a really good friend also, who, in the recent years has told me to pursue my writing career. These two individuals have influenced me heavily. One last thing that has pushed me to go into this career is writing has always been my coping mechanism, If I am sad or extremely happy, writing has always my go to activity.

RH: What inspired you to pursue a career in the entertainment industry and especially as a screenwriter? What kind of training have you had to prepare for these jobs?
Her aspiration was to write, but fell in love with teaching along the way. My dream is to teach, but I fell in love with creative writing along the way. I think my strengths play a big part in my determination to do what I love. Growing up, I was determined that I was going to be a doctor because in my mind that was the only way for me to help others and make my family proud. I would like to begin this reflection paper with my past experiences. First, I am an older student – obtaining my first bachelors from Hofstra University. As a sophomore in broadcast journalism, I was assigned the task of interviewing a graduate student in speech-language pathology as part of a career exploration video for incoming freshman. Filming her and her fellow classmates as they helped children overcome their stutter and gain both confidence and a voice, I was fascinated by the amazing work they were doing. Writing a novel is a illusory tale style. It illuminates truth that delivers compassion in worlds that are completely fictional. No one is born as a writer. Do you believe that we are capable to be writers? It may be impossible as it may look but yes. If you have the enthusiasm for it, strive to make it happen. Writing a novel is easy as writing ABC. Writing a novel is not a very complex thing. It is just like painting, cooking and drawing. It is a skill. Your thought is all that it needs to get it started. The hard part is how you will make it than it really is.
“Be not afraid of greatness: some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them” William Shakespeare wrote this quote in his play Twelfth Night, and it is an accurate description of how I feel about writing. Some people are born being great writers; some work hard to achieve their goal of becoming a great writer; others have great writers as mentors who help them become great writers themselves. I fall under the last category. Writing did not come easy for me, but through the help of my English teacher in high school, writing become not only easier for me but also a hobby that I enjoyed.
Writing…. writing for me is a never-ending struggle to perfect the English language, dialect, sentence structure and any other way I can possibly butcher my native tongue on paper. With so many ways to put ideas on paper, the English language is one of the most free-spirited yet, hardest languages to write. I look at myself as a writer of raw talent, one that needs to be harness to achieve great ideas.
...from high school with high hopes that college would add the finishing touches to my writing skills – I knew I still had flaws in my style, and I didn’t know how to fix them. And now here I am, aiming to become a successful novelist or screenwriter of some sort (as long as it allows my imagination to run wild).
After asking the adults in my life, how writing affects their career a few said that it plays a big part. Depending on the job you have the amount of writing you do will vary. One of the people I interviewed is a cosmetologist and she said that she does very little writing on the job, everything is verbal. One of the other people I asked was an accountant. He said that he does a lot of writing for work and it plays a vital role in his position at work. He said he wouldn't be where he is today without the writing knowledge he has. Not everyone is going to need writing skills for their career, it all depends on the field they go into.

I definitely enjoy it impressively, more than I did at the beginning of my high school life. In fact, I believe writing has helped me in my personal life to connect with my junior high school students of Inspire Church as I preach, so they can grasp the concept and teachings of the Lord when I share from my sermon notes and my life examples. As for my future career as a Medical Laboratory Technician, I’ll be using writing, a majority of the time, to write research papers on my data collection. To become a writer was not expected, but with his strong passion, he made the impossible happen. Writing caught his attention, imagination which then opened a door for him and changed his life. Writing is a hard field to work on. I think the important lesson in becoming a writer is to learn how to write from the inside to express our feelings and moments as an example of Russell Baker. I enjoy writing very much. My writing topics and style tend to match my eclecticity, though I enjoy the role of an essayist-poet most of all. I have written many instructional articles, though I have lately stayed away from them due to my over-exercise of that area of writing. I enjoy poetry, and while few poets ever put bread on the table and write substantial amounts of poetry, I am not motivated by anything primarily for money and find poetry an expressive way to communicate things that prose is unable to.
Being a good writer is a very unique skill, but so is being able to show it off to the world. Journalists do that every day; they get to write about events happening all around us and share it with the world. Anything from world crises to stocks is their job to report. There are so many different kinds of journalists that deal with many different things. Anywhere from sportscasters to reporters are considered journalists. This job ranges from so many options to write about. People show off their writing skills everyday whether it is through a newspaper or a television screen. Journalism is a great profession to go into if you like to write because there are many types of writing opportunities; working conditions are easy and good, and extensive training is needed.
My ideal career would allow me to do something that interests me. I enjoy working with words and with numbers. I've also had success in the areas of technology and customer service.
