Recommended: Student centered teaching philosophy

Approval to teach K-6
Through my vast experience within schools, my teaching pedagogy evidently displays my proficiency to teach K-6, including a diverse range of schools and students. The teaching pedagogy I implement is surrounded by the various learning and holistic needs of the students.

My NSW DEC approval to teach K-6 has originated from graduating from the University of Wollongong with a Bachelor of Primary Education. I have been engaged with casual teaching since completing and taught years K-6.
My Teaching pedagogy aligns with the NSW Teaching Framework and Australian Professional Standards for Teachers. It is essential to uphold to these standards as they are mandated by NSW BOS and DEC. One example of this in my teaching experience is through using restorative practices. If there was an incident within the school, I allowed the victim and the instigator to be involved in the resolution process, which subsequently generated high student satisfaction. Following this notion of behaviour management, I focus on positive reinforcement, clear expectations and rules which has enabled me to successfully complete lessons in my casual teaching.

Through my previous teaching experiences, I have displayed successful use of the teaching and learning cycle. I ensure all learning experiences are student-centred and focused on student improvement of syllabus outcomes. In all key learning areas (KLA) I have implemented diagnostic testing to establish a basepoint for my teaching. Then continue to use formative then summative assessment to reflect and revise my teaching pedagogy to create desired improvements.
