Let me introduce you to my very own culture, Philippine culture. My country consists of 7,107 islands surrounded by water. Philippine culture had been influenced by many countries because of colonization during world war. We believed even before the colonization happened, we already have our own culture that has been passed down from our ancestor. First let us talk about our family in the Philippines, Family is the center of our life, we value are family more than anything, therefor even after we finished our school and get our own job or even have our own family, we intend to bring our own family and stay together with our parents, on the other hand when our parents grow old we never send them to home for the aged, or any nursing home for outside care giving.     My first value is respect. Being respectful also means having good manners and being polite. I have learned this value since childhood, especially that Filipinos have a strong culture when it comes to giving respect to older people. We do as a way of accepting blessing from the elder by bowing towards the offered hand of the elder and press the forehead on the elder's hand.
