My Mentor Experience

I remember what the feeling of leaving friends and family behind. I remember the feeling of having the last look at my school and home. Now I am here, United States of America. I carried my dream and future to this unfamiliar land, facing challenge by challenge. Of course I am not getting through this on my own, different mentors appeared in my life to shape me and ready me for those obstacles.
The mentor who give me a dream is my father. My father is a warehouseman, when I was a child, I could not see him from time to time due to his work hours. Yet every time I saw him, he would hide his exhausted face immediately and share what interesting things had happened during his work day. Although he works very hard, he does not earn much. My friends supported me to chase my dream. After I confirmed I wanted to see the world though a camera, they helped me a lot. Since we could not afford the any DSLR cameras and programs. In order to increase the chance to practice with a camera, my friends found a competition that provided teachers and equipment. The target for this competition is to shoot a microfilm about dreams which perfectly fitted me. At the beginning we were signed up for learning but we soon begun thinking about winning the competition. Not for the prizes, but we started to have a lot of ideas about the topic. We even stay until midnight and wake up before sunrise, in order to shoot the best pictures. From directing, acting, to editing, we started from zero to completely finish by ourselves. Despite all this work we were not able to win the competition but the experiences and memories were much more precious. Recently, my friends have to give up their dreams due to various reasons, however they encourage me to chase my dream if I have the ability and passion. This makes me really want to finish my dream, to show the cruel society that living your dream is possible. I want to live a life that I will not regret, especially if my friends
