Leadership is an important part of society, we must have leaders within our society in order for it to function, as teachers we are expected daily to be leaders to our students, their parents, and even the teachers around us. Some believe that leadership is a learned trait and others believe it’s a trait that we are born with, but the way that we see leadership should be multidimensional, with different levels and different approaches. For me leadership is based on the persons traits, skills, the ability to be authentic and the ability to be a servant while leading always thinking about others. Which all bring me to the four theories that I connect with the trait approach, skills approach, authentic and servant leadership theories. Some of these characteristics are a drive for responsibility, being able to take risks and solve problems and when there are problems be willing to accept consequences of decisions being taken and finally the ability to influence other people’s behaviors. For me these traits can be learned but are more relevant when we are born with them, when you are a leader you must be able to know that there are responsibilities that one must accept as a leader, in order to be able to freely accept these responsibilities and not give into interpersonal stress I believe we must be born with these types of leadership traits. When we are born, we are born with certain abilities, or what in Spanish we call “we are born with an angel” this means we are born with a certain type of magnetism where we draw people towards us, when we are born with this we are able to influence people’s behaviors which is a trait/characteristic that we need as leaders that can’t be
