Many people are often stereotyped before they’re even born: people form an opinion on what your name will be; parents assume your gender; and others think of how you’ll act. The existing definition of a stereotype is a standardized mental picture that is held in common by members of a group and that represents an oversimplified opinion, emotional attitude, or uncritical judgement.
