Thanksgiving is my favorite family holiday. It is my favorite because we all set down and eat. And it is my favorite because we go outside and play football. On thanksgiving we all make a something to put on the table. it take all day and sometimes two. Then when it is all cooked we all set down and eat. We talk in between bites until we were stuffed. Then we find the disserte we eat till we are sick. Then we have to dlg through all the ball we have in the tub. When we finally find it we go out to the shop and air it up. That takes forever. We go t to the field and make sure there is nothing in the field that will hurt us like sticks or ant piles. There are many different ways people celebrate Thanksgiving. You give thanks and celebrate what you are most thankful for. Thanksgiving is a national holiday that has many different traditions, activities, and foods in different families.
The table can be filled with many different types of foods, and it differs from family to family. However, there are some foods that are seen at almost every Thanksgiving table. First off, the turkey, it is the most important part of the celebration for most families in the United States. There are multiple reasons to why the turkey has become such a big part of Thanksgiving. For example, a colonist named William Bradford wrote in his journals that colonists hunted wild turkeys during autumn of 1621, which is named as the first Thanksgiving. Another reason to why the turkey is an important part of the holiday is because the birds are big and can feed a lot of people compared to other birds such as chickens (Trex, 2008). Although the turkey is the most important food on the table for most families, it is common for most families to also serve some sort of sweet potatoes, for example, a sweet potato casserole with marshmallows. As Thanksgiving is a feast holiday a dessert is usually also served, one of the most common desserts on Thanksgiving is a pumpkin pie. The pumpkin has been around for hundreds of years, and always been a part of thanksgiving, however, it is more likely that the pumpkin was served after being baked or stewed rather than a pie on the first years when Thanksgiving were celebrated (Trex, 2008). As it is a feast holiday the table has many more types of foods, but it varies from family to family what is put onto the table, however, the turkey, sweet potatoes, and the pumpkin pie is almost always found at every Thanksgiving

Mere words can't describe how happy I was to cook. Tea cakes, sweet potato pie, honey glazed pound cake, Roasted turkey and leafy greens. I get to Make them all. Of course since I'm a spoiled brat I had to get my hair ready with my apron. Then and only then will I be able to cook. We were in the kitchen all day. You could just. Smell the richness of the turkey. I could almost taste the silky cream sweet potato pie. It would make your mouth water . Halfway through cooking Most of our family was already here (They were going to sleep the night) They pitched in to help, without them we would’ve been cooking through Thanksgiving.

I stepped out of the chilly November air and into the warmth of my home. The first snowfall of the year had hit early in the morning, and the soft, powdery snow provided entertainment for hours. When I was younger during hunting season my family would always shot deer during hunting season. While the kids were back at the house with grandma and Lori our job was to make food like potato soup or maybe chicken noodle, and moms almond pound cake with pudding for desserts as we wait for the phone to ring that one of them has shot a deer. I stayed home because it is too cold for young children to be outside. The phone would ring and it would be Mom, Dad, Grandpa or Uncle Tom saying that they got a deer. We would go up to the farm get the four wheelers and go track that deer.
