Coats of arms were first used in the middle ages. People used them to identify other people. For example, if a baker opened a bakery they could use their coat of arms so people knew which family that bakery belonged to. However, you might want to make your own coat of arms if you are different than the rest of your family when you get older. My coat of arms accurately describes me based on the animals, helm, crest, and colors I used. The colors I chose on my coat of arms are silver/white, green, purple, yellow, and red. Silver or white means that your family has peace and sincerity. I try my best to make everything peaceful and I’m always sincere even when others are not. Green means there is hope, joy, and sometimes loyalty in your family.
At first glance, the book “my bondage and my freedom by Frederick Douglass appeared to be extremely dull and frustrating to read. After rereading the book for a second time and paying closer attention to the little details I have realized this is one of the most impressive autobiographies I have read recently. This book possesses one of the most touching stories that I have ever read, and what astonishes me the most about the whole subject is that it's a true story of Douglass' life. “ Douglass does a masterful job of using his own experience to expose the injustice of slavery to the world. As the protagonist he is able to keep the reader interested in himself, and tell the true story of his life. As a narrator he is able to link those experiences to the wider experiences of the nation and all society, exposing the corrupting nature of slavery to the entire nation.”[1] Although this book contributes a great amount of information on the subject of slavery and it is an extremely valuable book, its strengths are overpowered by its flaws. The book is loaded with unnecessary details, flowery metaphors and intense introductory information but this is what makes “My Bondage and My Freedom” unique.
The things they carried, by Tim O'Brien. "Oh man, you fuckin' trashed the fucker. You scrambled his sorry self, look at that, you did, you laid him out like fuckin' Shredded Wheat." I chose to start off my essay with this particular extract from the book because I think that it very much represents the story in itself. Azar said this, after Tim (supposedly) killed a Vietnamese soldier with a hand grenade. It shows that in times of war, how callous men can become. However, callousness varies, whether they choose to be apathetic, like Tim shows us after his grenade episode.
Secondly, a new belt for the utility uniform is currently being implemented. The belts represent the individual Marine’s status in Martial Arts training. The “rigger’s belt” will be worn in five different colors: Tan, Grey, Green, Brown, and Black. The Marine has an option to don a new color once training for that level has been completed.

As for noble children, those wearing fabrics that were expensive, or wearing colors that were the darkest or the brightest, they and their family were well respected. Noble chidlren wore clothing made of velvet's, furs, silk, lace, cottons and taffeta. These fabrics were usually imported from Italy or brought back from returning knights returning from the crusades. There exists some debate as to the history and the creation of the coat of arms. The most wide spread theory is that coats of arms were needed as a means of identifying knights in battle. The idea was that since the knights were masked by helmets during tournaments or fights, the only way to identify their allegiance was by looking at his coat of arms. Therefore when two kingdoms fought each other, the purveyor could and would take the arms of the victim and hoist it as a trophy and as a sign of victory.

We all know that the most popular Christmas colors are red and green but there are other colors too such as gold.
