Moving To Miami-Personal Narrative

It was the summer of 2005 when my family and I discontinued our lives in New York and relocated to Miami. My siblings and I were young, we didn't have much of a say we rather let all of our opinions rely on trust in our parents. When the moving truck was finally loaded, the rest went blank. A couple days later we arrived in Miami, all I can remember at that exact moment was this reassurance of hope. We were all so excited to begin our new journey. The day that we moved the decision was for us to drive to Miami instead of flying because of the amount of belongings we wanted to take with us. We rented a UHaul truck and took our SUV as well. I remember the drive was really fun we were all laughing and having a great time. Even though the drive from New York to Miami is really long it did not feel that way. Only my parents knew what the house looked like as for us it was the first time we saw it. I remember how late at night it was when we arrived and how badly my siblings and I wanted to run around and explore. But instead all we did was fall asleep on a couple of mattresses and awaited for the next morning. When we woke up you begin to unpack the truck instead of ourselves in. Since it we moved in during the summer I recall the Miami heat touching the surface of my skin for the first time and was clearly not use to it.We had a house on the water so one of the first things we did when we're done unpacking was jump into the water it was an amazing feeling. Because it was summer when we arrived in Miami my brother and sisters and I would not start school until the fall. Which meant that we would not make friends for a while.
