he facility I observed for my risk management project was the Rock Island Fitness and Activity Center, otherwise known as the RIFAC. The RIFAC is a division of Rock Island Parks and Recreation, which is in charge of running entertainment and facilities throughout the Rock Island area. Because it is run by the city, this facility is open to the public. The fitness center is family oriented and is designed for all ages and all abilities. My family and many of my friends have been members of the RIFAC for a very long time and feel that it is a very nice facility in comparison to other centers in the area. Since the early 1970s when the first race was in the super bowl and it was called super bowl motocross but then came the term and the start of supercross. In supercross these were tight cornering tracks with big jumps rhythm sections, and woops sections. The bikes that were first ever ran on these tracks were 2 stroke meaning they are high rpm bikes which of the time were the fastest bikes around of this time but there were a lot of issues with the bike which I will explain. When I was in fifth grade at Harriet Bishop Elementary School, the fifth grade was required to participate in the jump rope program. The jump rope program was paired with the health unit on healthy living, designed to keep kids active. I loved creating the jump rope program. It was a lot of work to plan, practice, and perform, but it ended up exceeding anyone's expectations.
One of the fastest growing sports in the world is racing. Racing in general can consist of many different types such as: Drag Racing, NASCAR, Indy, Motor Cross, Truck Rally. The topic of racing that I am chose was street racing. Street racing originated from drag racing on the quarter-mile strip. The concept of drag racing is when two racers in different cars would line up at a white line, and in the middle of the two cars would be a light post, called the Christmas tree for its red, yellow and green bulbs. The tree does what a stoplight does, except backwards, it starts from red, then to yellow, then to green. On the quarter-mile strip, when the light hits green, the two racers are supposed to try to go as fast as they can before the end of the quarter-mile, which would then set off a electronic board showing their electronic times (E.T.) and their speeds.
