Animal Instincts
It is now common knowledge that wehave evolved from animals. So there are parts of our DNA that can be linked to other animals, most commonly ,the ape species .The merle I completed portrays the two novels , The Most Dangerous Game and The Interlopers, conflict. Which is mother nature is inevitable.
In The Most Dangerous Game, Rainsford states this quote “The world is made up of two classes--the hunters and the huntees” he was used to being in the class of hunters. When he later meets General Zaroff, he quickly experience what it is like to be apart of the other class, when General Zaroff challenges Rainsford to a game. In order to survive the game , he has to do things he considered to be morally wrong such as killing a human being. When Rainsford kills General Zaroff, a sense of joy came to him. His inner animal instincts came out when he becomes in top of the food chain. When you look at my picture ,you see a half human face and a half wolf face. The Human face symbolizes Rainsford and his morals before he met General Zaroff . The …show more content…

In the most Dangerous Game, Rainsford was bound to become the beast. Once Rainsford started playing the game with General Zaroff it was clear from the start there was going to be a winner and a loser, the universe does not allow for there to be one without the other. In the Interlopers, universal forces once again expresses that idea. Right before the two men were about to kill each other mother nature takes her own shot at them. In both short stories, the resolution is solved in a pessimistic way. Rainsford morals had vanished, and Ulrich and Georg most likely got attacked by the wolves. In my picture, I incorporated dark colors to represent the gloominess of the resolution of the two short stories. The trees in my painting is the setting for both short stories, the forest in the Interlopers and the Jungle in the Most Dangerous
