Recommended: Judaism, christianity and islam essay

There are many religions in today’s society that people from all over the world believe and worship. People instill religion in their lives for several reasons; for happiness, to solidify their life, or to be closer to God. Whatever religion a person wants to practice, there exists principles and characteristics, along with the various aspects that accompany these religions that direct one’s decision. This paper is going to reveal three main types of religion; monotheistic, polytheistic, and monistic.
Monotheistic religion is established on the basis of one single god and supreme one. The three primary faiths of the monotheistic religion are; Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. All three faiths began in a region what is now known today as the Arab World that amassed close to three hundred miles (Arab American National Museum, n.d.). In addition, each religion declares that Moses was a prophet of God. From more of a spiritual standpoint, Monism is the fundamental comprehensive of those people who adhere to a manner of pantheism. Pantheism views that God is the final source of being and that all of reality results from the manifestation of this God (Got Questions Ministries, 2018). Monism is contrasted with dualism and pluralism. Dualism exists as the concept that all things can be downsized to two substances (good and evil), whereas pluralism, reveals that there are many substances, realities, and gods (Got Questions Ministries, 2018). A well-known religion that follows the monistic concept is Hinduism. Hindu religion consists of very little unity.
