Recommended: Reflection about modern fairy tales

Once upon a time, in a far away land, long ago, lived a king. After trying for months a prince was finally born, they named Philip. However, the mother died during childbirth. A party was thrown in his honor. And thus beginning our story. King Hubert wanted to unite kingdoms with King Stefan and his queen by the marriage of their children. At the party three male fairies came to gift Prince Philip with gifts. One granted him with beauty, another gifted him with song, as the other fairy went to gift young Philip, an evil Wizard appeared. He was distraught because he didn’t receive an invitation to this party. He decided to gift the prince as well, stating that on his 16th birthday, he’ll prick his finger on a spindle of a spinning wheel and …show more content…

They needed the help of a motherly woman. His 16th birthday was approaching, the kingdom grew rejoiceful for the curse hasn’t been fulfilled. The Wizard's domain was still thundering and miserable. The three fairies hired some common people to help throw a party for Philip, since his birthday was approaching quickly. The woman baked cakes and cleaned the house while the man went hunting for game to eat. Philip went out to go fish, for he often did this to relax, however, while he was singing and fishing, a beautiful woman was picking berries near by. Since Philip was chivalrous, he offered his help to the woman. As soon as they locked eyes, they fell in love. The fairies weren’t to pleased and told him everything they kept from him. When Philip was supposed to meet up with her, he was forced to go to the castle for the party the King was having. Prince Philip was alone in his room to soak in all this information, when a gust of wind blew the fire out and a small wisp appeared, glowing. It drew Phillips attention, as he eased off the bed, walking toward the wisp, it moved further from him. The wisp guided him to a room in the tower, when he approaches the top, a spindle is spinning.
