Recommended: Missionary education in south africa 1800s - 1948

What is a missionary? A missionary is someone sent by Jesus Christ just as he was sent by God. In missionary work, the great danger is that God’s call will be replaced by the needs of the people, to the point that human sympathy for those needs will absolutely overwhelm the purpose of being sent by Jesus. ("My Utmost For His Highest.") “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations” ("Go and Make Disciples!"). Missions are important to God because of the cross of Christ and the command and the coming of him. The missionaries that I "Missionary Interview."ed said that it’s dangerous being a missionary. For instance if you're in a muslim country trying to spread the gospel you can be killed, or in other countries where you can go days without food. God’s call to missions is evident in South Africa with Multi Ministries.

Nevertheless South Africa’s primary religion is Christianity.

The city that Harold Peasley lives in is Johannesburg ("Missionary Interview."). He said that he lives in an apartment because he is always moving place to place to spread the gospel ("Missionary Interview."). The kind of foods he likes to is steak, lamb, and other assortments of meat ("Missionary Interview."). Usually the temperature there is really hot, but sometimes in winter it gets really cold to where they can even have snow! ("Missionary Interview.") He said he usually wears jeans or whatever is necessary to the situation.("Missionary Interview.") I asked him if it was hard to be surrounded by other religions. He said that it is difficult sometimes but it shows “great competition.”(Intervie) They practice their religion by using teams to get place to place to share the gospel. In conclusion, we should help share the gospel around the world. Multi Ministries has had a great task in sharing the gospel with South Africa, that is why we need to help. They have donated bikes the pastors to help them share in their faith and so should we. Even if it’s hot, cold, snowing, raining, we’ve got to spread the gospel. I think it would be great for everyone to participate in missions. It can help them grow in in their faith and help them with their lives.
