Know as the king of Pop music, Michael Joseph Jackson was born on August 29th 1958 in Gary, Indiana. He first got into music in 1964 when he linked his older brothers in the band the Jackson brothers as a back up musician and vocalist. The group later changed their name to the Jackson 5 just after Michael started sharing vocal duties with his older brother Jermaine Jackson. Michael was a natural talent whose vocals and dance moves quickly turned him in to the Jackson 5’s main character. The group later became a hit a signed with Motown records in 1968 and came out with four number one singles on the label including “I want you back” and “I’ll be there”. Jackson released four solo albums on Motown including his solo debut “Got to be there” and “Ben”. In June 1975 the Jackson 5 signed with epic records and became the Jackson. Between 1976 and 1985, the Jackson’s released six albums.
It was during this time where Michael came across Quincy Jones while he stared in the 1978 film, The Wiz, And African American remake of the wizard of OZ. Quincy jones then went on to produces Michael’s 18979’s record “ Of the wall”, which contained four top ten singles including “ Don’t stop ‘till you get enough” and “Rock with you”. At the time Michael has still not yet left his fathers band, the Jacksons but his solo career had already began. His next move was 1982’s Thriller, which will go on to become the best selling album of all-time and awarded Michael seven Grammy’s and eight American music awards. 2009 Started of as an exited time for Michael Jackson fans as he announced a 50-day concert in London called “This Is It”. The “This is it” concert series will mark Michael Jackson comeback and the Michael began a very serious training schedule towards the concert. This will become a disappoint later that year. Fans where shocked and sad when on June 25 2009, Michael Jackson died of cardiac arrest while in Los Angeles. His personal doctor Dr. Murray would later be charged with manslaughter. After Michael’s death, several websites crashed and most of his album sales increased. In October 2009 a documentary based on Michael’s last days and rehearsals became the highest grossing documentary or concert movie of all-time.
Know for his dancing and vocals and humanitarian efforts, Michael Jackson will forever live with us through his music.

In 1975 they split with Motown Records, over more creative control over the songs, and signed with Epic Records. Now with creative control over the songs, the group continued to experience tremendous success throughout the 1970s. (2014) says The pop star, then 25, would take home eight Grammys for the album in February and break a Hot 100 record for the most top 10 singles from the same album -- seven -- when the title track, buoyed by its groundbreaking John Landis-directed video, peaked at No. 4 on March 3rd. Michael, being the lead singer for more than two years, began his preparation for a solo career with Motown in 1971, at age thirteen; "Got to Be There" was Michael's first solo single, igniting his chart-topping streak within his solo career.
